Attention competitors: We will start the show early at 8:30am on Saturday to try and beat the heat!
Optimum Time Classes
Each course will be measured and used to calculate the optimum time based on the height of the jumps and the appropriate speed expected for the level. Riders aim to complete their course as close to the optimum time as possible without incurring any jump faults. Riders with the least faults are ranked by how close they are to the optimum time.
Speed & Faults Classes
Riders aim to complete their round as fast as possible without incurring any jump faults. Riders with the least faults are placed based on the fastest times.
Jumps will be set at varying heights between 2’3-3’ with each jump assigned a point value based on height and difficulty. Riders have 60 seconds to jump as many obstacles in any order and any direction to increase their points. Each jump may only be jumped a maximum of 2 times. Riders will only receive points for obstacles jumped clean, faults or refusals will result in no points for that obstacle and will not incur penalties. Upon completion of their round, the rider may choose to attempt the “Joker” fence worth 200 points. If jumped cleanly, 200 points will be added to the rider’s score. If knocked down, 200 points will be subtracted from the rider’s score. The rider with the most points at the end of the class will be the winner and will receive 50% of the pot.
